  1. Dave Rector, Evansville Vanderburgh County Building Authority, requests approval to close Locust Street between 9th Street and Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd. on August 9th, 2018 between 6:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. for an IU Med School Event.  
  2. Evansville Hadi Shriners request permission to occupy the intersection at Lincoln Avenue and Green River Road on May 19th, 2018 from approx. 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. for bucket shaking. (Rick Hubbard, Rick Ennis, Ralph Pigman)
  3. Brent Schmitt, City Engineer, requests blanket approval to close 6th Street between Walnut Street and the Hotel Garage Entrance as necessary for deliveries to the IU Medical School.

    1. The Evansville Police Department Foundation requests approval to donate the following equipment for the use and benefit of the Evansville Police Department: 
      1. 27 ballistic helmets and vest sets 
    2. Request permission or informing the board that City Legal has approved EPD to use Action Target as a sole vendor for the firing range repair project.  Note:  The amount is $61,850.00.  
    3. Request permission to open bids for the six (6) Sedan Line cars.

    1. Request approval of the Settlement Agreement and General Release between City of Evansville Building Commission v. Brian Goodaker.

Request a blanket approval for the Traffic Engineering Department Supervisor to have “Speed Limit” signs installed where necessary at the currently approved road speed.  If a request is warranted which would change the currently approved road speed limit, the request will be brought before the board for review.

    1. Evansville Trails Coalition requests approval for the “Evansville Streets Alive Festival” on June 3rd, 2018 from noon until 5:00 p.m.  Closing Garvin Park and all streets within the park.  ***BARRICADES REQUESTED***

  1. Lane Restriction 
  1. Stemaly Excavating requests approval for the lane restriction of the east northbound lane at 601 E Illinois Street for the demolition of brick to the side of the building tentatively beginning around May 1st, 2018.  (Jeff Stemaly)3
  1. Signage Request 
  1. Notifying the board that Rick Wilson, METS, has requested ‘No Left Turns by Police Order’ signs on First Ave, North and South, at Columbia from City maintenance.  Due to the First Ave project moving south of Columbia Street, the traffic flow is restricted on First Ave, to one North and one South lane.  Left turns, North and South, are effecting traffic flow and pose a potential hazard for accidents.  
  1. Handicap Parking 
  1. Request approval for the following handicap parking:
    1. 1421 E Sycamore –
      This property has a rear garage which is unusable and has no other off-street parking.  There are two “Handicap” applications for this property due to two sisters living together and both being disabled.  The sisters were informed that this property would only qualify for one on-street “Handicap” space.  This property appears to qualify for one on-street “Handicap” space for the sisters to share providing all of your criteria has been met. 
  1. Request approval for the removal of the following handicap parking:
    1. 418 S. Morton Ave
      New owner to this property. 
  1. Parking Permits
  1. GAMI Inc. requests approval for three (3) parking permits for Downtown Evansville with no limitations due to the huge equipment transferred from job to job.  Paperwork in order.
