Apply To Be A Youth Summit Leadership Fellow

Young people from across Indiana are invited to share their stories and ideas on improving state programs and services for Hoosier youth and families as a Youth Summit Leadership Fellow. The Commission on Improving the Status of Children in Indiana and VOICES are now accepting applications for this year’s class.

The program runs from Aug. 25 through Oct. 23. During this time, fellows connect and build relationships with other leaders throughout the state and research policy improvements to programs benefiting the experience for youth and families in Indiana. Fellows will present their findings and recommendations at the Youth Engagement Summit.The eight-week, virtual program is open to Hoosiers ages 14 through 23 with a passion for advocacy work and bettering lives. Preference will be given to those who have personal experience with any state programs or services like foster care, food stamps and juvenile justice.

Participants who complete the full program will receive a $300 stipend. Applications are due by midnight Aug. 9. To learn more about the program’s requirements, click here.
