    1. This City needs New faces in it’s Leadership.
Good to see a New generation stepping up,
      Thanks Mr. Burton.

    2. Nobody can argue that Mr. Burton isn’t imminently qualified to hold a seat on City Council, but the GOP will try. Evansville has had some good luck by his filing for office, and I wish him the best of luck in running for City Council.

        • Aha! Just as I suspected! Cowbozo is semi-literate at best. Get someone to read the article to you and you will know what his qualifications “is”.

          • Your schizophrenia is shining brightly today Laura, try answering the man’s concerns before jumping on your snippy. derogatory. useless, non contributory soap box. You swing from brilliance to utter ignorance at a drop of a hat.

          • I read it two more times and don’t see his qualifications. I see where he went to school and where he works. Does he own his own business, work in government or has he managed a multi million dollar budget ?

        • Psst, Where’s the grammar police when you need ‘um?——–> “are” or “is” his qualifications? Might have been a better scored jab, but then you’d been wide open for a good hard right on the body. He would have suffered a blow straight to the left side of the faked pose.
You are scored and recorded, you really need to try another avenue. We know you.

    3. [N.B.] Information on present employment is lacking.

Running for council in this town will certainly add to an individual’s education in a way that is not taught in the classroom. Always willing to welcome anyone into the election process who wishes to be “an elected servant of this community with the sole intention of bettering Evansville”.

    4. Looks like a credible roster of candidates forming. They could well have the effect of stymieing Winnecke’s attempt to pack the council with his hand picked sycophants.

      • The Republican candidates who have already said that they back the Winnecke agenda are clearly not qualified to be on City Council, but I wonder if they are even qualified to wander around loose.

        • Not qualified? Have you seen Anna Hargis’ resume? Exec Director of BBBS. CPA. Accountant for Mead Johnson. Active in the community. Our definitions of “qualified” must not be in line with each other.

          • She hasn’t been able to keep a job since graduating from college. There is no denying that sliding down from the corporate world to a nonprofit is no crowning achievement. This job she has currently is longest she has worked for one employer and is at 2 years.
