ABOUT HENDERSON COMMUNITY METHODIST HOSPITAL

70+ Years Providing Healthcare In Our Community

Methodist Hospital was first founded in 1946 in Western Kentucky. At the time it contained 80 beds on one story. Today, our facility consists of 2 hospitals, including a 192-bed hospital in Henderson, and a 25-bed Critical Access Hospital in Morganfield. We also manage the Methodist Physician Group, a team of more than 50 medical professionals working throughout 20 clinics throughout the state.

Throughout our decades of service we have been guided by our mission and vision:

  • Mission – Methodist Hospital, in keeping with its Christian heritage, exists to provide a broad-based healthcare delivery system. In partnership with our medical staff, the focus will be on safe, compassionate, high-quality and cost-effective services that address mental, spiritual and physical needs, and work to improve the health status of the people in the communities served.
  • Vision – Methodist Hospital, in partnership with others, will pursue a plan to continue to build and position the hospital as a comprehensive healthcare delivery system to meet the healthcare needs and expectations of the people in the communities served.

Services Designed to Handle Any Emergency

Guiding Values

How we accomplish our mission is as important as the mission itself. The following values provide a path to accomplishing our mission.

  • PATIENT – the individual patient is our focus. Our success depends on each employee identifying, satisfying, and striving to exceed the expectations of our patients.
  • TEAM – fostering the ideals of honesty, integrity, and commitment, when combined with team performance leads to excellence.
  • EMPLOYEE – relentlessly strive for quality, by developing individuals and the organization to provide the opportunity for each employee to achieve their maximum potential in performing their duties.
  • SERVICE – develop innovative and effective ways to deliver safe, high-quality services across the healthcare continuum.
  • COMMUNICATION – encouraging open dialogue and incorporating the expressions of diverse opinions in our decisions. Staff will be trained in patient communication skills to emphasize reporting, updating, and involving the patient in his/her care.
