With the solar eclipse on Monday, here’s some important information you should know from the Evansville Water and Sewer Utility.
IMPORTANT NOTICE
The Civic Center will be closed to the public on Monday, April 8, due to the solar eclipse. However, Evansville Water and Sewer Utility Customer Service Representatives will be available by phone at 812-436-7846 from 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Messages may also be sent to EWSU Customer Service at ewsu.com/contact. All other utility departments will operate as usual.
Republic Services will suspend regular trash and recycling collections on Monday, April 8, because of the eclipse and the anticipated increase in traffic. Trash and recycling pickups will resume on Tuesday, April 9, and will be on a one-day delay through Saturday, April 13. For questions about trash and recycling services, call Republic Services at 812-424-3345.
The Sunrise Pump Station lobby and indoor restrooms will be closed to the public on Monday. Outdoor public restrooms will remain open from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The pump station lobby and observation deck will reopen to the public on Tuesday, April 9, at 8:00 a.m.
