Mayor Winnecke received the Sagamore of the Wabash Award from former Indiana Governor, Vice President-Elect Mike Pence today. Lt. Governor elect Suzanne Crouch presented the award to Mayor Winnecke on behalf of former Governor Pence.
Sagamore of the Wabash is Indiana’s highest honor and given only to those who who have made a difference in their community and to the state of Indiana. Â Mayor Winnecke was recognized for his “Humanity, Loyalty and Leadership” while moving Evansville forward.
