Evansville, Ind. – Thousands of WWE fans funneled into the Ford Center on Wednesday night to take part in SmackDown, Evansville’s first televised WWE event since 2000. The atmosphere was electric as WWE Superstars like John Cena, Christian, Sheamus, Aberto Del Rio and many others took to the ring as championships were put on the line. 1. If that doesn’t attract YPs like was promised, then I don’t know what will attract them. I want to be homesick for wrestling.

  2. Record Editor Mike Klocke speaks at “Stockton is Magnificent” event.

The even at which Editor Klocke is speaking took place on March 15th, 2011. Last week the time period for Stockton to mediate its debts came to an end and the city has adopted a bankruptcy budget.

Klocke’s newspaper, The Record, is based in Stockton. You will forgive me if I seem a little peeved that if the editor of the Record had been more “pro-active” in his reporting on city government over the years, he might not be on a stage honing his apologetic skills.

The same can be said of Evansville, which has half the population of Stockton and paid over twice the price for our arena than Stockton did for theirs.

Stockton cannot meet their current debt service. The city is bankrupt.

Don’t you think it is high time that local “news organizations” take a hard look at Evansville government, before it is too late and we become another Stockton?

I have to question that thousands of people were there at 6AM.
