Blues Took Over Victory Theatre on Sunday Night!

Sunday night, Victory Theatre continued the weekend of music downtown with The Robert Cray Band. Opening for the five-time Grammy Award Winner was local act Monte and Shelly Skelton. Monte and Shelly brought the blues feel with Monte’s talent of bass, saxophone, clarinet and many more unique instruments that highlighted the soulfulness in Shelly’s voice.

By 7 PM, the crowd was cheering and ready to hear the legendary, Robert Cray. The soulfulness of Cray’s voice and his thrilling talent on guitar had fans in awe as the night went on.

“Victory Theatre’s feel and atmosphere is the perfect setting to bring these intimate performances, such as Blues Hall of Fame artist, Robert Cray,” stated Victory Theatre Executive Director, Scott Schoenike.
