MAYORAL CANDIDATE CHERYL MUSGRAVE POLITICAL FUNDRAISER WAS VERY SUCCESSFUL

Earlier this week Evansville Mayoral candidate Cheryl Musgrave attended a political fundraiser in her honor at the home of John and Gail Dunn.

It’s a well-known fact that this political fundraising event generated an impressive sum of money on behalf of the “Cheryl Musgrave For Mayor” committee.  Around 90 well-known community, political and business leaders attended this event on behalf of the “Cheryl Musgrave For Mayor” committee.

Vanderburgh County Commissioner Cheryl Musgrave made the following remarks to her enthusiastic supporters that were in attendance at this event:

Vanderburgh County Commissioner and Mayoral candidate Cheryl Musgrave told her supporters that “I love Evansville. It is a great place to live, a great place to raise a family, and grow a business”.

She also said that “I have a track record of success in making our community better. I’ve been at the frontier of applying technology to public problems and I’ve taken transformational steps for economic development. Most recently, I’ve brought a $40 million dollar investment into top-of-the-line broadband for Vanderburgh County; fiber available for every home and business.  This sets the stage for economic progress in a way that is the envy of the nation”.

Commissioner Musgrave stressed that “she is focused on economic development and job creation because the best way to build family prosperity is through a good-paying, steady job. For example, as commissioner for three terms, my initiatives on road development created a boom in housing and business construction on the northeast side. As a result, this area is growing both in population and household income”.

Mrs. Musgrave pointed out that “Regulations that drive up project costs will have my attention.  Where we need them, we will have a city government that makes them easy to navigate—and when we can do so, we’ll eliminate red tape.  And we will look at ways to use technology to streamline where we can”.

Commissioner Musgrave said “that she believes our community must be safe. Our police and fire services must have the personnel, equipment, and tools to get the job done.  You know I am a fan of what technology can do; we will deploy every means at our disposal to find criminals and introduce them to the justice system.  I’m all about safety first and I know that is built upon the talent and tools in police and fire departments and in how well we support their work.  As an inner-city resident for almost 40 years, I know this every day — and particularly every night”.

She concluded her speech by stating that “As your next Mayor, I will work to make Evansville an even better place to live, work, and do business. We will ensure that Evansville is headed in the right direction”.
