  1. Interesting political reading in the C&P/Star this morning. Joe Donnelly and his family are getting rich outsourcing jobs from Indiana to Mexico and Larry Buschon is taking written questions at a town hall meeting. Buschon elicits comments deriding him for wanting a semblance of order at his meeting, including one from a clown in New Harmony suggesting Buschon “skated” the draft during Vietnam, which would be indicative if he had been eligible for the draft when he was 10 years old. Turns out, he and Donnelly are the same age, which means, besides gathering wealth on the back of low paid Mexican workers at the expense of Hoosier families, he also must have “skated” the draft. The clown’s comments seem to be mostly indicative of his willingness to lie, or at the very least, his ignorance.

  2. Speaking of the C&P, did anyone read the bizarre and nonsensical column today by Jon Webb claiming that Cheryl Musgrave’s removal from Republican Precinct Committeemen position by Chairman Parke will help her political career?

Don’t know what Webb is smoking, but it’s obviously the really good stuff. “Articles” like this may explain why the Courier is losing readership at an alarming rate. It’s only a matter of time before the C&P is only publishing 3 days a week. See the “Facts” below of this law case:

“Evansville Courier is a daily newspaper publisher located in Evansville. Its primary paper, the Evansville Courier & Press, is published seven days per week. Over the last decade or so, Evansville Courier has experienced the downturn of the newspaper industry. In 2004, it employed approximately 500 people; currently, it employs approximately 215 people. In 2011, on average, it sold 49,126 newspapers from Monday through Saturday, with an average Sunday circulation of 70,864 newspapers. By 2014, the average circulation decreased to 39,999 newspapers during the week and to 57,111 on Sundays. It has
experienced an overall decline of nearly 60% in circulation since the 1990s. Evansville Courier anticipates that it will soon reduce the number of publication days for the Evansville Courier & Press and that at some point in the next ten years, it will stop printing newspapers altogether.”

    • I don’t read anything he writes any longer. I believe he’s gotten so nonsensical hoping to catch the eye of the Onion, The Daily Kos, Huntington Pap, or other such toilet paper organization when the C&P gasps it’s last breath and succumbs to it’s own lack of relativity.

      Long live the CCO!

      • disaffecred, know why journalism is the easiest major on college campuses? Because in physical education, you actually have to be able to do pull ups and push ups. In journalism school, spouting left wing anti-conservative, anti-business and anti-military rants results in a degree with “honors”.

    • Today the C&P had a table set up outside Wal-Mart west hawking subscriptions. I guess things have gotten that bad. I wonder if their advertisers know the truth about their circulation numbers? The guy held up a paper and asked if I wanted to subscribe, I answered back rather loudly that I had just canceled.

      • Press, you are making this up !

I read in the Washington Post today that it is acquiring the Courier & Press in order to expand its governmental investigative reporting bureau.

        Long live transparency !

        • No he isn’t , I was over there at 12:45 pm and there was a 60ish year old man trying to sign people up ,also giving out free newspapers

  3. Fake, Phony, Staged, whatever term you care to apply, but it is NOT news they are selling, it is propaganda.

The current main stream media reminds one of the Главное управление по охране государственных тайн в печати при СМ СССР. Where is Whitaker Chambers when you need him. Well I guess we really don’t need him when you consider how open and blatant these left wing “news”? agencies are today in comparison to his day.

  4. I had occasion to pass Cedar Hall School on Fulton Ave. today. The school was built new in 2010 and already the paint on the front façade has faded to the point of needing repainting! The taxpayers should be raising hell about that.
