EVANSVILLE, IN – July 18, 2025 – The Women’s Hospital Classic Professional Tennis Tournament returns to Wesselman Park Tennis Center July 21–27, 2025, with a new level of national significance. Upgraded to an ITF W100 designation, the tournament now stands as the highest-level USTA Pro Circuit event held outside of the WTA Tour and brings with it a $100,000 prize purse.
This year’s Classic also marks the opening event of the US Open Wild Card Challenge for women, offering American players a chance to compete for a spot in the main draw of the 2025 US Open. The Wild Card Challenge awards that entry to the American woman with the most WTA singles ranking points earned across three consecutive weeks, beginning in Evansville.
The Women’s Hospital Classic has a strong legacy of showcasing rising stars. Among the players currently competing at Wimbledon are several former Evansville contenders, including Madison Keys, Ashlyn Krueger, and McCartney Kessler.
The tournament is open to the public and admission is free. Fans are invited to enjoy an exciting week of professional tennis with courtside access to high-level competition:
