Evansville Police arrested 24 year old RACHAEL SCHMIDT on several charges after she fled from a car stop and crashed into a business. Officers pulled Schmidt over near Delaware and Wabash for several moving violations around 11:30pm Wednesday. As the officers were exiting their car, Schmidt sped away. She lost control in the 2100 block of W. Delaware and crashed into a business. She was taken into custody at the crash scene. Schmidt had a BAC of .13%
Schmidt was arrested for Resisting Law Enforcement, OMVWI, Violation of her Learner’s Permit, and several traffic violations.
