There need to be a map that shows faces of the shooters like the have for sex offenders. I bet old Brooks would really get his drawers in a bundle if those statistics were easily accessed.
The map says it all. It is what it is. The inner-city black community has a huge problem. It appears that the thugs are destroying the community while their so called leaders remain silent.

The race of individuals perpetrating a shooting crime against another human being is immaterial. I seriously doubt approaching the problem from a racial perspective will help anything.
I do know this… Our drug war unfairly targets black people for the trade and use of marijuana in particular, which has a long history of association in this country. The white folks’ drug of choice is overwhelmingly alcohol, while the numbers will show, the black community’s drug of choice has trended toward marijuana.
Making the trade of marijuana an illicit act drives producers and traders underground where the “law of the street” will tend to prevail over courts. Are you doing to take your neighbor to court who breaks into your house, for instance, to steal your marijuana? What’s the alternative? Surely one can easily see the problem there. No?
