Volunteer Opportunities with the Point-In-Time Count

t’s not too late to get involved in the 2024 Point-In-Time (PIT) Count. The PIT Count is an annual count of sheltered and unsheltered individuals and families experiencing homelessness in a single night of the year. This important endeavor means homeless service providers, community partners, and volunteers collaborate to identify unhoused Hoosiers across 91 of Indiana’s 92 counties in partnership with IHCDA. (Marion County conducts their own PIT Count.)

You can learn more about the PIT Count and how you can get involved by watching the 2024 Kickoff Webinar HERE.

How can you contribute to this effort on January 24, 2024? Volunteers help by administering a brief survey, distributing information about the PIT count in your communities, and more. Contact the appropriate PIT Coordinator for more information about how you can volunteer in the community of your choice. You can find your region’s PIT Coordinators’  contact information here. The regions that still need volunteers are: 2a, 3, 4, 5, 6, 10 and 12.
