VHS To Host “Spay-ghetti & No Balls” Benefit Dinner

(Evansville, IN – January 17, 2012) The Vanderburgh Humane Society (VHS) is set to debut a brand new event this month. For the first time ever, the VHS will host a “Spay-ghetti and No Balls” Benefit Dinner supporting the VHS Low Cost Spay/Neuter Clinic. This dinner will be an opportunity to not only raise awareness about the importance of spaying/neutering but also to raise funds for our clinic and the services it provides to our community.

The Vanderburgh Humane Society has the area’s only low cost, high volume spay/neuter clinic, and since its opening in 2007, over 25,000 animals have been fixed to help combat the animal overpopulation epidemic. Our clinic works hard to make sure that every dog/cat/rabbit here at the VHS is altered prior to going home with a new family. We also extend these services to the public and other animal welfare organizations in our community. There are not enough homes for all of the puppies and kittens brought to our shelter each year and this clinic is the answer to reducing the numbers that are surrendered to us.

The event will be held on Saturday January 28th at the Crescent Room (621 S. Cullen), doors open at 5:00 PM and a buffet style spaghetti dinner will begin at 5:30 PM. The dinner will feature spaghetti (with meat or vegetarian sauce), salad, bread, dessert and a beverage. There will also be music and door prizes. Kids are welcome and dress is casual.

Tickets are on sale now! To purchase tickets, visit www.vhslifesaver.org or stop by the VHS (400 Millner Drive).

Tables seat 8 and tickets are $10 each or $100 to reserve a table in your name.
