BATTERY-SIMPLE ASSAULT [BM]Case Number: 1461860Victim: JEFFREY DAVID GOFFLocation: 3918 UPPER MOUNT VERNON RD, EVANSVILLE INOn 4/2/14 at approximately 1940, deputies were dispatched to 3918 Upper Mt. Vernon Rd reference a fight in progress. Upon arrival I met with the victim, Jeffrey Goff. Goff informed me he was helping do some work around the house when Steven Soell arrived. Soell came over to speak to his ex-girlfriend, Theresa Blake. At some point, Soell became agitated and began to fight with Goff. Goff stated Soell struck him in the face and then ran off. Deputies drove around the area and went to an address nearby where he was believed to be staying, but did not locate Soell. Goff informed me he had no intentions of pursuing charges and wasn`t really worried about what happened. It was discovered Soell had been told he was not allowed on the property at a previous date so a barred/banned alert was placed on him. Goff did not appear to have any injuries and he stated he did not need any medical treatment. Blake was told about how to obtain a protective order due to her not wanting Soell on the property. Upon arrival, I met with victim Charles Neal Gore. Charles stated that Tierra Ferguson has again violated the protective order that he has against her (82D031311PO005175). He stated that he received a text message from her at 0128 hours this morning. The message read “Please let my son know how much I love and miss him. send me some pics ok, Thanks.” This active Protective order clearly states that Tierra is not to have any contact with Mr. Gore. Charles did not have any information on Tierra`s whereabouts, or any further information to assist deputies in locating her. I advised Charles that I would complete a case file to present to the prosecutor, if I was unsuccessful locating her. I was unable to make contact with Tierra, a case file will be completed. According to the victim, Karla Buening, reported that she had discovered a window screen in the rear of the residence had been cut and appeared suspicious. Mrs Buening was unable to provide a possible occurred from time as the window had not been opened for sometime, and no one in her household had been in that portion of the backyard for at least a couple of months due to the season. TRAFFIC-ACCIDENT HIT & RUN /UNATT/PROP [BM]Case Number: 1461838Victim: BRENNAN JOSEPH REESELocation: 5404 PEARL DR, EVANSVILLE INOn 04/01/14 at approximately 1927 hours I was dispatched to 5404 Pearl Dr in reference to a hit and run. I arrived and spoke with Brennan Reese who stated he had parked his Ford F150 in the parking lot at Buffalo Wild Wings earlier in the evening. Reese said his truck was unattended and was apparently struck in the parking lot by another vehicle. The truck had scratches and a dent on the drivers side rear bed side. Next, I spoke to witnesses Danielle Bloebaum and Donna Mathena. They were together and were in the parking lot. They both said that they observed a red or possibly maroon mini van, possibly a Pontiac, that had struck Reese` at around 1915 hours. They said the driver of the van was out of his vehicle and was physically pulling the bumper of his van off of the truck. They said the man then threw the bumper in the van and left the scene. Bloebaum said she believed the plate on that vehicle to be either 704 BJB or 407 BJB. When those plates are run through Indiana, they do not come back to a vehicle matching the description given by the witnesses. The two went to Buffalo Wild Wings and had the restaurant page the owner of the truck. That is how Reese was advised of the situation. I also spoke to juvenile EK. EK said he was in his vehicle in the parking lot. EK said once he realized what was going on, he took out his cell phone and began taking pictures of the mini van. EK said he would email me those pictures as soon as possible and I provided him with my email address. I do not believe anyone actually observed the collision between the two vehicles, only the events that took place after. THEFT-OTHR [DF]Case Number: 1461830Victim: CAROL MATILDA KISSINGERLocation: 2800 N SAINT JOSEPH AVE, EVANSVILLE INOn 04/01/14 at approximately 1437 hours I was dispatched to 111 N Eickhoff on a theft report. Upon my arrival there, I spoke to Caroll Kissinger who stated her credit card had been stolen and used several times with out her permission. Kissinger said the last time she used her card was on 02/03/14 at Rural King at 2800 N Saint Joseph Ave. Kissinger said she is unsure if she dropped it in the parking lot there or how someone else may have gotten it. She stated she was unaware the card was stolen until 03/30/14 when a subject named John contacted her and told her he had her card and that he had found it on the ground on the east side in a parking lot. Kissinger said she met John and that he drove a red Dodge Ram truck. She said he told her he had been a victim of a similar crime before and just wanted to return the card when he found it. Kissinger has contacted her bank and they are currently taking care of many of the charges on the card with no expense to Kissinger. It is unknown at this time if Kissinger will incur any debt as a result of this act but the financial institution has a clear loss. Kissinger has no suspects at this time. Upon arrival I spoke to the victim Ola Marie Garland who stated that her vehicle, a Oldsmobile Ciera, had been damaged. Mrs. Garland showed me the drivers side window that was off track and pushed ajar outward. Mrs. Garland stated that her window was rolled up prior to the damage. Mrs. Garland stated that nothing was taken from her car.

Upon arrival I spoke with the reporter Eric Hazlett. Hazlett advised he and his family recently returned from Panama City Florida. Hazlett advised when he returned, he found someone had used his account to make fraudulant purchases in El Darado Arkansas and Bernice Louisiana. Hazlett advised he had not been in any of those cities nor did he make any purchases in those cities. Hazlett advised he had already contacted his bank, to which they advised they would cancel the account and reimburse the funds. Hazlett advised he needed a report filed for the bank. Upon arrival, I spoke to the victim, Adeina Rae Mars. Mars told me she found a large scratch on the passenger rear quarter panel of her 2003 yellow Dodge Neon this afternoon at approximately 1700 hours. Mars said she knows the scratch was not there at approximately 1600 hours on 03/3014, but had parked her vehicle at the “back side” of her apartment building(904-B McDonald Ln) last night. There is no suspect information at this time. It should be noted the word “whore” is scratched into the paint of the vehicle across the hood and on every door. Clark stated the motorcycle intentionally struck him in his right leg and caused him substantial pain. Clark refused an ambulance several times and said he would go to the hospital later if need be. Upon my arrival I spoke with John Bivins who stated his prescription medicine had been stolen out of his work vehicle. Bivins said he parked and locked his JE Shekell service van in his driveway on 03/30/14 at approximately 1900 hours. He said he heard nothing through the night and when he went to his van at about 0650 hours on 03/31/14 he noticed nothing to be out of place and all doors to the van were locked. Bivins said his first run of the day was to Casino Aztar, now Tropicana, and that his van was parked there right in front of the security office and locked. Bivins said he went back to the van around 1200 hours to get one of his pills and realized that they were gone. Bivins showed me that he hides his pills in a drill bag and under his uniforms in the front area of his van. He said he had “torn the van apart” looking for them and he was confident that they had been stolen. Bivins was adamant that the van was locked at all times and said he was not sure how entry was made. He did say that on Chevy vehicles it is common for keys from other Chevy`s to fit and work in the door locks. I checked the van over well and found no evidence of forced entry. Upon arrival I spoke to Stephen Koressel who advised he hear several gun shots this past Saturday. Today about 1430hrs he noticed a hole in the vinyl siding. Koressel stated he would like a report because it`s happened a few times in 8 years. It appeared the damaged area had a bullet inside. We could not locate it without damaging the wall. Koressel advised he`s reported shots fired before. He has not noticed any of his property being damaged. He advised he did not know of a suspect. This report can be suspended.
