The Vanderburgh County Health Department (VCHD) has increased the number of COVID-19 vaccination appointments at our clinics starting January 26.  Currently the VCHD operates clinics on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 2pm to 8pm.  We also host clinics on Saturdays from 9am to 1pm.  With approval from the Indiana Department of Health we have increased the number of vaccinations that will be provided during each clinic.

Those that are currently eligible to receive the vaccine are health care professionals, first responders/law enforcement, and people who are 70 years old and up.  We ask that those who are eligible but might not have signed up or have had trouble getting an appointment visit ourshot.in.gov to sign up for an appointment at the VCHD.  Anyone under the age of 70 can visit the VCHD website, yourvchd.org to sign up on our Back-Up Call List.  This list will be used to provide additional doses during a clinic should they become available.

Currently the Indiana Department of Health is directing people signed up for the VCHD clinics to go to 100 Walnut St., the C.K. Newsome Center.  This location is incorrect and all appointments for the VCHD clinics will be conducted at the Health Department, at 420 Mulberry St. through February 6th.  Starting February 9th, the VCHD will conduct clinics at the Old National Events Plaza.
