NORWALK, Calif.—University of Southern Indiana Men’s Track & Field juniors Josh Guy (Palmyra, Indiana) and Noah Lutz (Evansville, Indiana) recorded NCAA Division II provisional qualifying times in the men’s 10,000 meters at the Mt. SAC Relays late Thursday night.
Guy finished 21st in the Invitational Elite race with a time of 29 minutes, 35.88 seconds, while Lutz was fourth in the Open B C/O race with a time of 30:10.05. Guy’s time ranks fifth all-time at USI in the 10,000 meters, while Lutz moves into eight all-time on USI’s Outdoor Track & Field performance list.
The Screaming Eagles continue their run at the Mt. SAC Relays Friday night when seniors Johnnie Guy (Palmyra, Indiana) and Tyler Pence (Springfield, Illinois) compete in the 5,000 meters. Junior Chase Broughton (Marengo, Indiana) competes in the 3,000-meter steeplechase Friday night as well.
