USI Travels West For First Road Games Of 2015-16
EVANSVILLE, Ind. – University of Southern Indiana Men’s Basketball will be playing on unfriendly courts for the first time this season when it visits Rockhurst University Thursday and William Jewell College Saturday. Tip-off for USI and Rockhurst Thursday in Kansas City, Missouri, is 7:30 p.m., while start time for the Screaming Eagles and William Jewell in Liberty, Missouri, is slated for 3 p.m.

USI receives votes for NCAA II Media Poll. For the first time this year, USI received votes for a top 25 poll. The Screaming Eagles received votes for the NCAA Division II Media Poll, presented by D2SIDA.
Eagles win 6th-straight with victory over PNC. USI ran its winning streak to six-straight after overwhelming Purdue University North Central, 102-67, at the Physical Activities Center. Junior guard Jeril Taylor had a monster game to lead the Eagles with 24 points, 10 rebounds, six assists, and six steals.
During the winning streak. USI is outscoring its opponents 89.8-62.3 per game during the winning streak, compared to 90.7-87.8 in the first six games. The Eagles also are shooting 52.2 percent (199-381) from the field in the last six contests.
Four in double-digits to start the year. USI has four players averaging in double-digit to start the 2015-16 campaign. Junior guard Jeril Taylor and freshman guard Alex Stein are currently on top of the USI scoring column with 16.3 and 14.5 points per game, respectively, while senior forward George Edwards is third with 13.6 points per contest and junior guard Bobo Drummond rounds out the double-digit scorers with 11.8 points per outing.
Drummond dishes career-high 10 assists. Junior guard Bobo Drummond dished out a career-high 10 assists against Purdue North Central. The 10 assists ties for the third-best single-game total in the GLVC this year.
Seniour blasting from long range. Senior forward Shane Seniour has found the touch from long range this year, hitting 11-of-20 three-point field goals (55.0 percent) after missing all three attempts last year.
First road games of the year. The Eagles are playing on a hostile floor for the first time this year when they travel to Rockhurst University and William Jewell College this week. USI’s four games away from the PAC this year were neutral site contests.
USI vs. Rockhurst. USI leads the all-time series with Rockhurst, 14-1, and has a 6-1 advantage in the games in Kansas City, Missouri. The Eagles took last year’s match-up 75-64 at the PAC.
Rockhurst in 2015-16. The Hawks of Rockhurst are 6-4 through the first two months of the season and are averaging 77.5 points per contest. USI vs. William Jewell. USI leads the all-time series with William Jewell, 3-0, and has won both trips to Liberty, Missouri. The Eagles won the 2014-15 meeting at the PAC, 86-48.
William Jewell in 2015-16. The Cardinals of William Jewell are 5-5 overall this year, winning their last three games. William Jewell started GLVC action with a pair of losses and is currently seventh in the GLVC West Division. More on William Jewell can be found at JewellCardinals.com.
