EVANSVILLE, Ind. – University of Southern Indiana Women’s Golf was ninth at the University of Evansville’s Braun Intercollegiate Monday and Tuesday, posting a 666 (328-338) after 36 holes. The intercollegiate was hosted at Oak Meadow Country Club in Evansville.

The Screaming Eagles were sixth after the first-round 328 before falling to ninth after posting a 338 on Tuesday. USI fared well against fellow members of the Ohio Valley Conference, going 2-1 with wins over 10th-place Eastern Illinois University (683) and 11th-place Tennessee State University (694) and one loss to sixth-place Lindenwood University (662).

Individually for the Eagles, sophomore Kylee Hormuth (Wentzville, Missouri) led the Eagles after the two rounds with a 162 (79-83) to tie for 28th. Junior Katelyn Sayyalinh (Rockford, Illinois) followed five strokes behind in a tie for 38th with a 167 (83-84), while sophomore Baileigh Schneider (Huntingburg, Indiana) rounded out USI’s top three in 42nd with a 168 (83-85).

The Eagles will resume action in the spring championship portion of the 2022-23 schedule.
