University of Southern Indiana Men’s Basketball heads back out on the road this week, visiting Lewis University Thursday and the University of Illinois Springfield Saturday. Tip off Saturday in Romeoville, Illinois, Thursday is 7:30 p.m., while Saturday in Springfield, Illinois, is slated for 3 p.m.

USI Men’s Basketball vs. Lewis, Illinois Springfield Quick Notes:
Eagles back on track at home. After a 2-2 four-game road swing, USI got back on track with an 80-75 victory over the University of Indianapolis and earned a season split with the Greyhounds. Senior forward Josh Price led USI in the scoring column with 17 points, while senior forward Emmanuel Little came off the bench to post a double-double, 15 points and 10 rebounds.
USI starts the week in first. The Eagles start the week in the top spot of the GLVC East Division, but eighth in the GLVC Point Ratings by percentage points.
2020-21 Eagle leaders. Senior forwards Josh Price and Emmanuel Little lead USI with 16.4Â and 15.1 points per game, respectively. Price also leads the squad with 10.1 rebounds per contest. Senior guard Mateo Rivera and junior guard Jelani Simmons round out USI’s double-digit scorers with 13.8 and 11.0 points per contest, respectively.
Little climbing in the record books. Senior forward Emmanuel Little (1,290 career points) climbed into eighth all-time and needs 62 points to move into seventh (Elo Mutombo, 1,352 points). Little also is fifth all-time in career rebounds (778), 10 behind fourth place Billy Harris (782).
USI on the road. USI is 2-2 on the road this year and is in the middle of playing six of seven away from Screaming Eagles Arena. The Eagles are led on the road by senior guard Mateo Rivera with 15.8 points per game, followed by senior forward Josh Price with 15.5 points and 8.8 rebounds per contest. Senior forward Emmanuel Little rounds out the double-digit scorers with 13.3 points per contest, in addition to grabbing a team-best 9.5 rebounds per outing.
USI vs. Lewis. USI holds a 48-27 series lead over Lewis University, 47-27 since the Flyers joined the league in 1981-82. USI, which has won the last two match-ups, after defeating Lewis, 85-82, at home last season. Senior forward Josh Price paced the Eagles with 22 points and 12 rebounds, while senior guard Mateo Rivera followed with 18 points.
Lewis in 2020-21. Lewis, currently, leads the GLVC East Division with a 6-4 mark and has lost its last two games. The Flyer lost their last game on the road at the University of Missouri-St. Louis, 69-64.
USI vs. Illinois Springfield. USI holds a commanding 13-4 overall record versus the University of Illinois Springfield, including the last three meetings. The Eagles were led in last year’s 71-62 win on the road by senior forwards Josh Price, who had 20 points and 13 rebounds, and Emmanuel Little, who posted 11 points and 11 rebounds.
Illinois Springfield in 2020-21. Illinois Springfield is 5-4 this year and has won three of its last four games. The Prairie Stars had their three-game winning streak snapped Saturday at the University of Missouri-St. Louis, 70-58, and will host UIndy Thursday.
