USI School of Graduate Studies to hold Graduate Student Colloquium

The USI of Graduate Studies is proud to announce the 7th annual Graduate Student Colloquium, happening Wednesday, March 20. The event is open to the public at no charge. Anyone with an interest in academia, research or higher education is encouraged to attend and participate.

Scheller to present on eclipses ahead of USI Solarpalooza

Dr. Kent Scheller, USI Professor of Physics, will present Eclipses and Humans: Science, Shock and Awe at 5 p.m. Wednesday, March 20 in WA1, located in the Wright Administration Building on campus, ahead of USI’s Solarpalooza event happening Sunday and Monday, April 7-8. The presentation is open to the public at no charge.

USI Communication and Media Department to host annual Social Media Symposium

The USI College of Liberal Arts and the Communication and Media Department is excited to announce the annual Social Media Symposium, happening at 6 p.m. Wednesday, March 20 in Carter Hall, located in University Center West. The event is open to the public at no charge and will be available virtually through Zoom, as well as in-person. Registration is required through Zoom for virtual viewing.

USI to honor Disability Awareness Month with presentation by blind paralympic swimmer

The USI Disability Resources Office, in collaboration with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA Coordinator) Office, is proud to welcome Tucker Dupree, Paralympic Swimmer, to campus in recognition of Disability Awareness Month. Dupree will present from 6-7 p.m. Thursday, March 21 in Carter Hall, located in University Center West on campus.

USI to premiere Sack Race with Knives: The Curious Art of Kevin Titzer

USI will premiere Sack Race with Knives: The Curious Art of Kevin Titzer at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, March 21 in the USI Performance Center. This public showing will be followed by a reception at 7:30 p.m. in the MAC/Pace Galleries in the lower level of the Liberal Arts Center.

Southern Indiana Dance Marathon returns March 23

Southern Indiana Dance Marathon will return to USI for its 12th year on Saturday, March 23 in Carter Hall, located in University Center West. Participants will be on their feet for 12 hours straight to raise money and awareness for Riley Hospital for Children. This year’s event will begin at noon Saturday, March 23 and continue until midnight Sunday, March 24.

USI Chamber Choir to present 2024 Spring Concert

The USI Philip H. Hagemann Performing Arts Department will present its 2024 Chamber Choir Spring Concert at 3 p.m. on Sunday, March 24 in the Rice Library Second Floor Reading Room.
