The University of Southern Indiana College of Liberal Arts will host Danielle Norris, Marketing Director at Woods and Woods, LLC, at 6 p.m. Wednesday, March 23 in Carter Hall on campus for its annual Social Media Symposium. The event is free and open to the public.
Norris’s presentation, “Social Media for Unicorns (and Other In-House Marketers),†will explore how businesses that perform their own marketing use social media, as well as the professional opportunities which exist outside of marketing agencies. In the marketing department at Woods and Woods, LLC, Norris often refers to herself and her coworkers as unicorns because they work for a business where they are the only ones doing their specific jobs—others at the organization do not necessarily know what they do on a daily basis.
Each Spring Semester, USI’s College of Liberal Arts, Communications Department and Scripps Howard Center for Media Studies present a symposium on the impact of social media on communications.
