On December 15th, 18-year-old, Daniel Lawrence Alvey, was arrested for 3 Counts of Attempted Murder in reference to the shooting that occurred yesterday in the 800 block of Kirkwood Dr. Through their investigation, detectives learned that Alvey was hired by Samuel Huggler to kill one of the victims on Kirkwood Dr.
Around 5:00 p.m., 25-year-old Samuel Huggler was arrested for Conspiracy to Commit Murder. Both Huggler and Alvey have been booked into the Vanderburgh County Confinement Center.
At this time, at least two of the three victims are being treated for life- threatening injuries. There will be more updated information given as more details become available.
On December 14th, around 5:45 p.m., Evansville Police Officers were dispatched to the 800 block of Kirkwood Dr. for shots fired. The caller reported hearing 3 shots and said someone had been shot. When officers arrived on scene, they located three victims who had been shot. All three victims were transported by ambulance to a local hospital. The extent of their injuries is unknown at this time. None of the victims were juveniles.
The suspect had his face covered and approached the victims at their residence. The suspect fled the scene in a vehicle before officers arrived. Little information has been provided about the suspect at this time. The investigation is still active.
