University of Evansville head men’s basketball coach Marty Simmons has announced that senior Blake Simmons has suffered a season-ending knee injury earlier this week in an offseason workout.
“Our main concern is with Blake, we want to make sure to get him back to 100% next year,†Coach Simmons said. “He does so many of the intangibles that do not show up on the box score. It is a big loss for our team, but it will give other guys the opportunity to step up. It will also be important to have Blake’s leadership at practice and during games this season.â€
