UE Theatre Opens “The Rimers of Eldritch” in May Studio Theatre

The University of Evansville Department of Theatre opens The Rimers of Eldritch, by Lanford Wilson, Friday, March 16, at 7:30 p.m. in the May Studio Theatre. The show will continue with performances at 7:30 p.m. on March 17, 19, 20, 21 and 22, and at 2:00 p.m. on March 18. The Rimers of Eldritch is a dark drama exploring the dangers of gossip and hypocrisy in a small, decaying coal town.

Patti Miller, a senior theatre education major from Arlington, Texas, directs the play. The cast includes senior Kerry Sheridan of Weatherford, Texas; juniors Jenna Anderson from Arlington, Texas; Aaron Fentress from Henderson, Nevada; Myra Lamphier from Grosse Pointe, Michigan; Rosa Palmeri from Putney, Vermont; Natalie Rich from Louisville, Kentucky; Ben Theobald from Louisville, Kentucky; sophomores Ross DeWitt from Owensboro, Kentucky; Alex Raby from Sheridan, Indiana; Spencer Shain from Lenexa, Kansas; and freshmen Robin Coppock from Richland, Washington; Chris Hailey from Friendswood, Texas; Olivia Hebert from Arlington, Texas; Jessica Intner from Marietta, Georgia; Aaron Johnson from Floyds Knobs, Indiana; Oriana Lada from St. Paul, Minnesota; and Natalie Tischler from Houston, Texas.

The all-student creative team for The Rimers of Eldritch includes scenic design by junior D’Vaughn Agu, from Grapevine, Texas; lighting design by junior Mary Lana Rice, from Memphis, Tennessee; costume design by junior Maria Smith, from Elberfeld, Indiana; and sound design by sophomore Dylan Kind, from San Antonio, Texas.

Tickets are $10 for adults and $8 for senior adults, students, and UE faculty and staff. UE students may pick up their free student rush ticket beginning at 12 noon on the day of the performance they wish to attend. Seating is very limited. For reservations, call the ticket office at 812-488-2031.
