Tournament set for Monday and Tuesday

EVANSVILLE, Ind. – Fall action wraps up with a busy week for the University of Evansville men’s golf team.  The week opens on Monday when the Purple Aces will be in Murray, Ky. for “The Buddy”.

Miller Memorial Golf Course will be the host of the tournament with action taking place on Monday and Tuesday.  Par is 71 and the yardage is 6,710.  The field includes Murray State, Central Michigan, IUPUI, Detroit Mercy, Chicago State, Trevecca Nazarene, USI, Eastern Illinois and Southern Illinois.

Evansville is back on the course for the first time since wrapping up the Bubba Barnett Intercollegiate on October 3. Daniil Romashkin earned a tie for 9th place with a 209.  Romashkin and Andres Rodriguez each posted rounds of 68 in the final round of the tournament.  Their efforts were four under par.  Rodriguez improved in each round, culminating in a final score of 218.  He tied for 47th.

Nicholas Gushrowski recorded his low round of the tournament on Tuesday.  An even 72 saw him tie for 64th with a 223.  Caleb Wassmer also had his best performance of the weekend.  His 76 gave him a 3-round tally of 233.  Carson Parker carded an 80 in the final 18 holes to wrap up the event with a 238.
