WHO: USI Junior Track & Field student-athlete and two-time NCAA DII Track & Field National Champion Titus Winders, USI President Ronald Rochon, USI Athletic Director Jon Mark Hall and USI Men’s/Women’s Cross Country/Track & Field Head Coach Mike Hillyard will be in attendance. The USI and Evansville communities are invited to celebrate Winders’ achievements.
WHAT: USI Junior Track & Field student-athlete Titus Winders became the first in program history to win two national championships in the same season when he finished first in the 3,000 meters and 5,000 meters at the NCAA II Indoor Championships March 11-12 in Pittsburg, Kansas.
President Rochon will also present a proclamation on behalf of Evansville Mayor Lloyd Winnecke and the City of Evansville, declaring March 18, 2022 as Titus Winders Day.
WHEN: The event will take place at 10 a.m. Friday, March 18.
