Town of Newburgh Announces Winter Ice and Snow Event Debris Cleanup Plan

NEWBURGH, IN – The recent winter ice and snow event left behind many damaged trees, bushes and fallen limbs. Town crews prioritized work on removing hazardous hanging limbs and fallen trees across roadways, sidewalks and public spaces. To help with residential property tree, limb and bush debris the Town of Newburgh has contracted with Renewable Resources to help those who live within the Town limits.

Renewable Resources will be placing dumpsters at four locations throughout the Town for residents to use for tree, limb, and bush debris drop off. The dumpster locations are as follows:
    1. Aurand Trailhead 715 State Route 662
    2. Lou Dennis Community Park 402 Park Drive
    3. Kiwanis Community Park 524 Filmore Street
    4. Old Lock and Dam Park 525 State Route 662

Dumpsters will be checked regularly and Renewable Resources will be notified when the dumpster is nearing capacity. If a dumpster is full, please do not stack debris on top. Renewable Resources cannot move dumpsters with debris stacked over the edge. If one dumpster is full, please move to another dumpster on the list. If all dumpsters are full, please know that Renewable Resources has been notified and is on their way to remove the
full dumpster and replace it with a new emptied dumpster. Please do not leave debris next to the dumpster, this hinders the dumpsters from being picked up. The Town of Newburgh asks residents for their patience during this time and will continue to supply the dumpsters for residents use until January 24, 2025.
