“Women will determine Indiana’s future, and it’s past time for politicians to prioritize an agenda that will create better lives for them. Signing the ‘Contract with Women’ means pledging to restore the right to choose, fix the state’s dismal maternal mortality rate, pass legitimate workplace protections, and solve other common-sense problems facing women and families across Indiana,†said Myla Eldridge, Vice Chair of the Indiana Democratic Party and Marion County Democratic Party Chairwoman. “Whether it’s their unpopular abortion ban or simply a failure to hold their own accountable, Indiana Republicans simply do not respect or value women in our state. A vote for Democrats this year is a vote to fix the mess Republicans have created across Indiana and give Hoosier women more freedom in their daily lives.â€
Todd Young and Indiana Republicans in state government simply do not respect or value women in the state. Senator Young is 100% anti-choice and confirmed the three U.S. Supreme Court justices who overturned Roe v. Wade. Republicans at the statehouse passed a dangerous abortion ban in a special session and have failed to fix the state’s dismal maternal mortality rate. Diego Morales is accused of sexual assault against Republican women he worked with.
Republican government overreach and extremism is harming the women of Indiana and the Democrats’ “Contract with Women†Tour will show Hoosier voters that our party is ready to champion women and girls and create a brighter future for everyone.
FOOTNOTE:  The “Contract with Women†Tour will be the eleventh and final statewide tour by the Indiana Democratic Party for the 2022 election year. Once finished, the state party will have held more than 160 events in about 70 counties in about a year and a half.Â
