    • 27,000 people came out to hear Bernie Sanders in Washington Park (NYU and Bob Dylan music bars area) last night. 27,000!
Hey, gotta give the guy credit….Trump too….they are not speaking to themselves and faking that anyone likes what they say the way Rick Santorum or Bobby Jindal did.
This GOP primary is a train wreck though. The nominee is gonna be either Trump or Cruz.
The Republican Party realizes that now.
And they also realize in the fall election the GOP is gonna LOSE:
      1. The White House
      2. The Senate
      3. The Supreme Court (After the Fall, everyone reading this will be dead before SCOTUS is conservative again)

      • I watched this video……..English Bob…….and it is HILARIOUS. Fantastic. Great job.

  1. Just wanted to take a moment to say I’ m still here,, I still read the CCO, that is except DB’s pontifications. Health issues have downgraded political issues importance in the scheme of things tho. Have a good everyone! It’s finally turning Warmer!

That is how it is done nowadays, low ball the original budget so you look good at the time you roll it out for the public, then make up the real difference during the year using additional appropriations. Hell, the public is not smart enough to catch on anyway, right?

  3. Thanks for posting that Press. Caught my eye also. This is the second action of this type already this year. You can bet that neither Butterfly McGinn or Russ will offer a detailed explanation for the excess appropriations and related expenses. Nor will they detail how much is left in each fund after the appropriations. I suppose you heard the rumor that Russell-Lloyd-Winnecke actually received the $12 million casino pre-pay last December and dumped into the ailing general fund. But, hey, Mostly Messy believes the ordinance passed last year was just to make the mayor look bad. So the less we talk about finances out in the open, the better.

    • This practice of using “additional appropriations” to fund….is it unique to only Republican administrations?
