Taking a Closer Look at Important Topics

Committees will review topics like mental health, Medicaid spending, crime, traffic fatalities, artificial intelligence and more. Notably, the new State and Local Tax Review Task Force will take a comprehensive look at our state’s tax system and consider further tax cuts. 

I will serve on the following committees this year:

• All Prayer Claims Data Base Advisory Board;
• Indiana Commission for Women;
• Indiana Protection and Advocacy Services Commission;
• Infants and Toddlers with Disabilities Interagency Coordinating Council;
• Nonemergency Medical Transportation Commission; and
• The Commission on the Social Status of Black Males.

As a state senator, it is always my goal to ensure Hoosiers in my district and across Indiana can comfortably support their families, children and loved ones, whether that be medically or just in their day-to-day life.

Topics were approved by the bipartisan Legislative Council, which is comprised of 16 voting members – eight from the Senate and eight from the House of Representatives.

The Indiana Department of Natural Resources (DNR) recently released a new, upgraded smartphone app for iPhone and Android users to locate state parksand learn how and where to safely hike, bike, hunt, fish, and boat in Indiana.

You can find up-to-date information on Indiana roads through the Indiana Department of Transportation‘s Trafficwise website and mobile app. The app includes information on construction projects, unplanned traffic incidents, and size and weight restrictions. It also allows users to save routes, receive travel alerts and view live traffic cameras around the state.
