Evansville, IND.  (January 5, 2023) — Suzanne Crouch, current Indiana Lieutenant Governor, announces she has over 3.1 Million Dollars cash on hand as she heads into 2023 in her campaign for Governor.

“We have exceeded our 2022 fundraising goals, and our numbers are strong. I will be competitive with anyone in this Governor’s race,” said Crouch.

“Crouch has over 800 unique donors who contributed over $1.7 million in 2022. These donors came from every part of Indiana to invest in her campaign for Governor. Hoosiers are trusting Suzanne Crouch because they know she will deliver on the issues important to them,” said campaign spokesperson April Gregory.

“I’m a conservative leader that has fought for Indiana, and I’ve connected with Hoosiers in all 92 counties. My fundraising numbers reflect those relationships I’ve built,” Crouch said.

Crouch is the first Republican woman in Indiana to ever run for Governor.

  1. The Indiana Capital Chronicle wrote and published an article about Crouch that said this:

“The average age of governors at the time of their election is 50, with the oldest being James D. Williams at 69, according to the 2006 book The Governors of Indiana. Crouch would be 72 at inauguration, while Braun would be 70. For comparison, Holcomb was elected at the age of 48.”

  2. The Courier & Press wrote and published an article about Crouch that said this:

“Even Crouch’s stand-alone statewide victory in the 2014 race for state auditor doesn’t look as impressive as Braun’s 2018 election, Feigenbaum said. She was nominated in a GOP convention as an appointed incumbent, not in a primary. Political scientists use races for such constitutional offices — when voters lack familiarity with the candidates and the offices themselves are low-profile — as measures of baseline party loyalty rather than candidate popularity.”

  3. The Herald Bulletin News published an article about Crouch that said this:

“State Democratic Chairman Mike Schmuhl said Crouch shared blame for Indiana’s poor national rankings in areas such as schools, pollution levels and maternal mortality. Hoosiers cannot afford another four more years of the status quo, because the status quo is currently putting families further and further behind the rest of the nation,” Schmuhl said.”

  4. Could be a tough race:
Like Kamala Harris, Crouch is the #2, behind a #1, and that is not necesarily an immediate qualification for the top job.
Braun is Indiana’s Senator in the US Senate.
Braun is an established businessman and was a business owner before he became a US Senator.
    Braun is younger than Crouch.
