Suspects charged in home invasion robbery

Evansville Police have charged two men with Armed Residential Burglary and Armed Robbery after they broke into a north side home around 10:30 last night.
Police believe 22 year old PAUL LUKAC and 24 year old JUSTIN HENSCHEN broke into a home in the 1000 block of Idlewild and tried to rob the residents. LUKAC was armed with what police later discovered was a pellet gun. LUKAC and HENSCHEN confronted one resident in a front room and a struggle ensued.
A second resident in a different room heard to commotion and armed himself with a handgun gun. He confronted LUKAC and HENSCHEN in the front room and told them to get on the ground. Both suspects complied with the resident and were held at gunpoint until officers arrived. The first officer arrived on scene within 30 seconds of the dispatch and the suspects were taken into custody.
