June is National PTSD Awareness Month, a time to remind everyone about resources available to help. [Click here for PTSD-related resources] In 2021, the Indiana General Assembly extended a pilot program through 2024 for hyperbaric oxygen treatment for veterans, which can help treat PTSD symptoms. Interested participants can email purduehbot@gmail.com. Indiana’s Department of Veteran Affairs offers a directory of psychiatric resources for veterans. Veterans can also call the state’s crisis line at 1-800-273-8255. Help is out there, and those struggling are encouraged to connect to life-saving resources. |
