Advisory Board on Disability Services will hold an Art Exhibit
During Disability and Autism Awareness Months

To celebrate Disability Awareness Month in March and Autism Awareness Month in April, the Evansville Advisory Board on Disability Services is hosting an art show exhibit at Central Library through the month of April.

The Advisory Board on Disability Services invites the public to enter submissions. Artwork can be audio-visual or avvisual art piece that explores themes of inclusion, acceptance, or the unique perspectives of individuals with disabilities. We encourage artists of all abilities/ages to participate. Submissions must include the artist’s name, as well as a title and/or small description of the piece. All art also must be family-friendly; to accommodate all submissions, organizers are requesting that all artwork be small to medium in size.

Participants are welcome to contact the Advisory Board on Disabilities Services at (812) 436-4927 with additionalquestions. Submissions may also be dropped off at the Evansville-Vanderburgh County Human Relations Commission office located in the Civic Center Complex in suite 209. The deadline for entering the Art Exhibit is at the close ofbusiness on Friday, March 28, 2025.

The mission of the Evansville-Vanderburgh County Advisory Board on Disability Services is to provide guidance on matters concerning individuals with disabilities in Evansville. The advisory board also provides a public forum for members of the community to voice concerns and acts as an advocate to make the local community more accessible for people with disabilities.
