STATEHOUSE (June 16, 2021) — State Sen. Vaneta Becker (R-Evansville) will serve as a member of several study committees in preparation for the 2022 legislative session.
Becker’s assignments include the following committees, commissions, board and council:
- Interim Study Committee on Public Health, Behavioral Health and Human Services;
- Interim Study Committee on Government;
- Advisory Commission on Intergovernmental Relations, chair;
- Indiana Protection and Advocacy Service Commission;
- The Commission on the Social Status of Black Males;
- Nonemergency Medical Transportation Commission;
- All-Payer Claims Data Base Advisory Board; and
- Infants and Toddlers with Disabilities Interagency Coordinating Council.
“Study committees provide lawmakers with a valuable opportunity to take an in-depth look at the issues facing our state,†Becker said. “I look forward to working with my fellow lawmakers on ways we can improve our health care system and much more.â€
Legislators will meet over the summer and fall months to discuss topics approved by the bipartisan Legislative Council, which is comprised of 16 voting members – eight from the Senate and eight from the House of Representatives.
