Schedule updated for weekend series at Bradley
Aces open play with Saturday doubleheader
EVANSVILLE, Ind. – An updated weekend schedule is on tap this weekend when the University of Evansville softball team travels to Bradley. With inclement weather in the forecast on Friday, the teams will open the series with a 12 p.m. doubleheader on Saturday. Sunday’s third game will begin at its originally scheduled time of 12 p.m. All three games are set to be carried on ESPN+.
Last Time Out
– A tough road series at Murray State saw the Purple Aces drop its three contests by a total of six runs as the Racers scored six of their 15 runs over the weekend in either the 6th or 7th innings
– In Saturday’s finale, UE held an early 3-0 lead before MSU scored four runs in the final three innings to take the 4-3 decision
– Taylor Howe went 1-2 with a triple in the contest
Power Play
– Morgan Adams continues to rack up the home runs as she hit #14 of the season in the home win win over Indiana State
– Adams’ 14 homers is the second-most in a single season in program history and ranks in a tie for the MVC lead while sitting in a tie for 47th in the nation
– Her 36 RBI is tied for the Valley lead and is on the cusp of one of the five highest single-season tallies in UE program history
On a Streak
– Over the last six games, Taylor Howe has recorded a hit in each contest while batting .428 (9-for-21)
– Her 30 runs in 2025 is tied for 7th in the league while her tally of 12 doubles is tied for second
– In total this year, Howe is batting .296 with seven home runs and 28 RBI
– Howe recorded two hits in each of the final two games at Murray State
Still Going Strong
– Scoring 34 runs on the season, Jess Willsey is tied for third in the MVC
– Her season total of 11 doubles is tied for 4th in the Valley, her 8 homes runs are tied for 8th while her 28 RBI ranks in a tie for 10th
– Willsey is batting .262 on the season over the course of 147 at-bats (T-3rd in the conference)
– Her double in the 8th inning of game two at Valparaiso proved to be the game winner
