The Supreme Court of the United States has let stand rulings from the 7th Circuit and other federal courts that will end laws against same-sex marriage in Indiana and other states.
Certiorari was denied Monday in the Indiana case, Bogan v. Baskin, 14-277, and other cases that overturned bans at the Circuit Court level in Oklahoma, Utah, Virginia and Wisconsin. Bogan was one of seven cases justices reviewed in conference Sept. 29.
Stays that had been in place are lifted as a result of the ruling, according to the ruling from the 7th Circuit, which on Sept. 4 struck downIndiana’s law banning same-sex marriage.
