Rowe And Skepnek Get Victories As Eagles Fall 5-2 To Tiffin

University of Southern Indiana Women’s Tennis (1-4) dropped a home contest to Tiffin (Ohio) University (7-2) earlier this afternoon at Wesselman Park.

DOUBLES: The freshmen combination of Lauren Rowe and Rachel McCorkle fought their way to grab four games in the No. 1 doubles before falling in the match, 6-4. Sophomore Chloe McIsaac and Junior Lauryn Thompson also battled to earn four wins before dropping the No. 2 match, surrendering the doubles point to the Dragons.

SINGLES: Rowe had a resounding first victory and first point for the Screaming Eagles discarding her opponent in straight sets, 6-1, 6-0 in the No. 2 singles match. Then, Junior Kylie Skepnek picked up the other win on the afternoon for the Eagles in a tiebreaker, 2-6, 7-6, 10-6.

Up Next: The Eagles will look to put this one behind them and head to Quincy University for a match with the Hawks on Saturday March 20.
