The University of Evansville men’s and women’s track and field team started indoor season off on a high point with personal bests and program records being set.
Zach Dove opened the indoor season with a program record 14.73-meter 35-pound weight throw, finishing in seventh.
In the second program record of the day Haylee Harmeyer raced a PR 400-meter dash at 1:03.12, finishing 13th.
Michael Boots adds to his historical career with a indoor shot put record, besting a record that stood since 1980, earning a 14.51-meter fourth place toss. Boots added a personal best in the weight throw at 13.04-meters.
Baylee Geng opened her season with a personal best in the 20-pound weight throw with a 9.52-meter 21st place finish.
The Purple Aces are back in action on Jan. 24-25 at the SIU Don Denoon Invitational.
