   “Laredo Sector acting Chief Patrol Agent Jason D. Owens previously told Breitbart Texas that the Laredo Sector is targeted because of the lack of a physical border barrier. He said his sector has more than 170 miles of unprotected river border without fencing or walls. He said that the Mexican cartel known as Los Zetas chooses when and where migrants will cross the border and that the Bangladeshis, mostly young men between the ages of 18 and 35, pay up to $27,000 each to be smuggled into the U.S.”

   ““When we talk about the different groups that are crossing into an area, what we’re trying to draw attention to is a more comprehensive look at our threat picture,” Owens explained in a previous Breitbart Texas interview. “We need to stay away from just focusing on the family units and Unaccompanied Alien Children that are coming from Central America and Mexico.        Speaking to reporters on Air Force One Friday, President Donald Trump said if Congress won’t fund Homeland Security to build the U.S.-Mexico border wall, he would do so using military funding.

       The president also would not rule out the possibility of a partial government shutdown, despite acknowledging it could hurt Republicans in the midterm elections.

       “We have two options: we have military and we have Homeland Security,” Trump said. “I’d rather get it through politically, I’d rather get it through Congress. If we don’t, I’m looking at that option very seriously.”

       He mentioned the Army Corp of Engineers as a possibility for building the wall, as he’s done in the past.

   Obama cannot stand the success of President Trump. The economy is booming, the stock market is booming, and unemployment is down, but Obama does not care that our country is doing well. Obama has to give a speech to again try to divide us.

   Obama went so far as to claim that the economy is doing well because of his policies. He cannot accept that Trump turned around the weak Obama economy. If he really believes this, he is delusional….

Trump canceled the Iran sellout deal, where Obama gave Iran 150 billion dollars, plus billions in cash, and Trump is applying sanctions against Iran.    The bottom line is that Obama is angry. He did all he could to defeat Trump and elect Hillary. His corrupt FBI/DOJ whitewashed the Hillary email scandal and used the unverified, Hillary-paid-for Steele dossier to obtain FISA warrants to spy on the Trump campaign, which led to the Mueller investigation. But Obama’s efforts failed to elect Hillary….

   Unlike Obama, Trump does not apologize for American power. Trump is proud of our country.

       The optimism of American small business owners soared to the highest level on the records in August.

       The National Federation of Independent Business Small Business Optimism Index jumped to 108.8 in August, setting a new record in the survey’s 45-year history. The previous record was set in July 1983.

       “Today’s groundbreaking numbers are demonstrative of what I’m hearing every day from small business owners – that business is booming. As the tax and regulatory landscape changed, so did small business expectations and plans,” said NFIB President and CEO Juanita D. Duggan.

       Businesses are seeing better sales, with a net 10 percent reporting higher nominal sales in the past three months compared to the prior three months, up two points. August is the ninth consecutive strong month of reported sales gains after years of low or negative numbers, according to the NFIB.

       The net percent of business owners planning to build inventories rose six points to a record net 10 percent. Reports of positive profit trends rose to the second highest reading in the survey’s 45-year history.

       “At the beginning of this historic run, Index gains were dominated by expectations: good time to expand, expected real sales, inventory satisfaction, expected credit conditions, and expected business conditions,” said NFIB Chief Economist Bill Dunkelberg. “Now the Index is dominated by real business activity that makes GDP grow: job creation plans, job openings, strong capital spending plans, record inventory investment plans, and earnings. Small business is clearly helping to drive that four percent growth in the domestic economy.”

       The share of small business owners saying it is a good time to expand tied the May 2018 all-time high.

5. I am sure Lilly’s presence had an impact. She is a shining example of a high school swimmer, swimming in a city pool because none of the Evansville high schools, had and still don’t have pools, that went to IU and became a college and Olympic champion. I believe a pool is needed, but question the location chosen and the funding mechanism. As always, the biggest question is how soon will the city maintenance or lack there of, cause this pool to become like the LLoyd pool?

   • Yet Lilly became an Olympic gold medalist without the benefit of a $28 million swimming pool. This project is a good one and as such things go it has value. There is however no substitute for hard work and the heart of a winner.

     • Joe, a $28 million “aqua center” may be great at the Roberts Stadium park, but not in Garvin Park. Is the City planning on having their neighborhood pools go the way of Mesker Park?

   • But President Trump has not yet been featured by Time Magazine for telling “The Lie of the Year” as President Obama was after he lied his ass off about keeping your plan and your doctor. He reached a low of 40% thinking he was truthful in March 2015 just after Obamacare’s fallacies became obvious. He only had 40% because the Democrats couldn’t even bring themselves to admit that “if you like your doctor your can keep your doctor” was a premeditated material lie. How many billions has that lie cost us? How many small town hospitals closed because of that lie? When it comes to damaging lies Obama tops the list.

     • Though Medicaid expansion was a key component of the ACA, 19 states opted out. Rural hospitals in expansion states saw an improvement to their bottom lines as patients that previously did not have the ability to pay for healthcare were covered and suddenly able to provide the hospital with some form of reimbursement. While 35% of rural hospitals in expansion states have a negative operating margin, the figure could rise to 48% if cuts to Medicaid are included in Trump’s healthcare reform, according to the report.
       “Under the ACA, a bad situation was made less bad,” Topchick said. “We particularly saw the benefit in states that expanded Medicaid.”
