  1. I noticed a story in the C&P about the former Walmart site at Old Boonville-New Harmony and 57 today. It seems the nearby residents don’t want any type of commercial development on ground that was zoned commercial before the subdivision was built. I understand, but were not they aware before they moved to that area? That part of 57 has been a commercial area for decades and in the mid 90’s it was heavily pushed for just such development. Just as they couldn’t stop Walmart, I doubt they will be able to stop a strip mall from being built.

  2. I see the local rag is still worried about our gun filled ghetto being gentrified.
