         By comparison, President Obama earned 43% approval on this date in the second year of his presidency.

3. Dump the health care for the part time city council job and term limits wont be needed. Only part time gig I know that provides full health insurance.

4. CCO asks if it’s time for another gun law. Maybe. If it will make you “feel” better. But not if your aim is to stop the madness and save lives.
   A shooter took an Uber cab to a high school where he wasn’t a student, walked in with an AR15 rifle and multiple rounds of ammo and opened fire on helpless students while their “protector” cowered outside.
   Law enforcement, from the county to the FBI were totally incompetent in ignoring signals, had they done their job, may have prevented this. An Obama program predicated on the notion all whites are racists poured $53,808,909 into a program that kept the shooter from being arrested while a student at the school. And that’s only scratching the surface.
   Yet we are supposed to hate the NRA and Trump/Republicans; and, oh yes, add another gun law to the myriad of gun laws on the books now.

     Pikeville

     Teachers could soon be carrying concealed guns inside schools in Pike County under a proposal that was preliminarily approved Monday evening by the Pike County School Board.

     The unanimous decision came after the board heard concerns about school safety from teachers, parents and administrators during a town hall meeting at Pike County Central High School. The discussion was prompted by multiple school shootings in recent weeks, including one at Marshall County High School in Western Kentucky that left two dead and another in Florida that left 17 dead.

     The motion authorizes the school board’s attorney to work with the Pike County Sheriff’s Office, which would oversee the program, to finalize a formal policy for the school board to consider.

     Pike County Schools Superintendent Reed Adkins said he hopes the board will give final approval within two to three weeks, and to have armed staff in schools by fall, if not sooner.

5. 2 terms is enough. Good enough for President or county sheriff. Can you imagine another spending term with Whiney? Evansville won’t have a pot to piss in. More than 2 terms creates “the swamp” no matter if it is local, state or federal. If the Dems and Reps don’t come up with viable candidates for mayor, we are in a world of hurt.

6. BREAKING:

   Donald Trump’s son-in-law, Jared Kushner, had his top-security clearance REVOKED this afternoon by Chief of Staff John Kelly. A lot of people will pooh-pooh this and try to say, “Well, its just taking so long,” and if that were the case, they wouldn’t have revoked it. Thank God, General Kelly is a died in the wool Republican, loves his country, and you can be sure, sees Kushner’s work with our American enemy, Russia, and simply doesn’t trust the guy. Doesn’t trust the President’s son-in-law. That’s not good. That’s not good at all.

   • Actually, that may be good, Dan. If he leaves and takes his wife with him Trump may finally do the right thing regarding illegal aliens.
     You do know Bill Clinton’s first Press Secretary, Dee Dee Myers never was granted a security clearance in her 2 years on the job. And if communist Van Jones (now a “reporter” for CNN) was granted one when he was in Obama’s white house, it was a travesty.
