Now that we will be able to place sport bets with Trop instead of calling our bookie buddy, those who win will be receiving W-2g’s tax info documents requiring reporting to the taxing authorities; however, any losses are not deductible to the state of Indiana. So, if the sport better wins $10,000 but losses $10,000, the State picks up $440 extra tax dollars which under the bookie system never was reported.
