    • Indiana Enoch:
      It is wholly legitimate to point this out. Fair game.

      Trump’s tone (“punch him in the face, shoot a guy in the middle of the street”, etc) is directed towards a rally audience. The tone is different than the tone expressed in this newspaper editorial board meeting. (No excuses offered – she shouldn’t have used the reference.)

      And I think there is a difference….one is inarticulate (w/ the editorial board of a newspaper) and the other (defensible as inarticulate) directed in an audience-participation rally who’s audience is composed of many, many, many…old-west swift-justice hearkening crowds.

      Trump’s history of knee-jerk reactions…especially w/ his temperament of immediately punching back w/out regard for consequences (FYI: Trump discusses this tactic at length in Art of the Deal)…..makes his joke about assassinating Hillary IMMEDIATELY dangerous. (Worse, a bad example of disastrous Presidential qualities.) but let’s be clear: Trump’s audience rallies to him….because his tactics include swift-justice behavior.

      But Presidents, in an age of nuclear weapons, can not afford to have knee-jerk temperaments. The consequences of being “hit back” by his foe….which Trump expects…..are apocalyptic. Civilization ending. This is not hyperbole to mention this – it is the one elected office where it is critical TO mention it.

      But it is wholly fair game for you I-E to bring up Hillary’s comment in the editorial board meeting on why she wasn’t ending her campaign yet.

  1. May 23, 2008? Really?
    The catfish(the Trumper’s) must be desperate and hunger for any tidbits!
    C&P this morning reports that Obama’s approval rating is up to 56% now.
    Will the Trumpers continue to be stupid and tie Hillary with Obama?

    Good thing we will be voting for a president this November, which we have
    a legislative and judicial branch that in theory, keeps them in check!

    Had we be voting for a King, (I alone can fix everything) we would be scr**ed
    either way!

    • How is Hillary pinning her hopes to prevail against Obama on a chance assassination different then the accusations against Trump? The difference is that Hillary has actually benefited from the convenient demise of those who could cause her harm. Obama might be 6% more popular, but when we look at economic growth and world wide tensions, and the expanding debt, how do we say he was a success?

      When the legislative branch keeps the president in check, they are called obstructionist. Since RvW the judicial branch has discovered a way to decree law and rules more on past precedence than constitutional context. We lost a lot

      • One only needs to look at the start of January 20, 2001.
        Then look at the end, and beginning of January, 20, 2009.
        Now look at today, August 11, 2016.

        Stocks are mostly at a all time high, top (?)% has 89% of all wealth
        in this country, and we could have a Republican president.
        If one is a firm believer of history repeating itself, then look at 1929.
        One quirk in this is 2008! We dodge that bullet, barely!

  2. Will the Trumpers continue to be stupid and tie Hillary with Obama?

    Yes, they will. For as long as they live, they will continue to be stupid because they have are stupid.

      • Speaking of sheep, could you bleat your stance on your man’s statements about Obama and Hillary being the founders of ISIS?

        • LKB…my immediate reaction when I read this “sheep” comment from I-E was, “Well, that “so-says” comment is ironically funny…..
          ….coming from one of Donald Trump’s condoms.”
          But that is perhaps inarticulate, so I take it back.

        • I disagree with Trump and do not support everything he says or does. I would say it is more like the fund ISIS then founded them. But then you are often quick to call e those whose views are different than our views the “Christian Taliban,” so I would say it is on the same order as that.

    • There is no cure for “Stupid”. And if you look up the word “stupid” in the GOP dictionary it points to the word “Trump”!

      Trump is a gaffe a day. Today he is going around saying things that he knows is untrue. We all know that Saddam x soldiers are ISIS today and that Bush was the founder of ISIS as he had Saddam taken out leaving a huge power vacuum in the middle east. Bush’s own father warned him not to go into Iraq But Cheney and his war dogs pushed Bush into Iraq with lies about WMD. All so that their 10,000 a plate dinner friend here in Evansville, IN could make more money off selling things to the military industrial complex. President Eisenhower warned us about the Military Industrial Complex before he left office. It’s more about making money than protecting our country and it’s people.

      Trump is a egomaniac and bully and needs to be defeated at the ballot box this coming Nov. Don’t get mad… VOTE.

      • Wow. What an excellent summary of Iraqi terrorism origins. Great post Coyote.

        (Including comments re: the military industrial complex patron – Steve irons a crease in his jeans…did anyone else notice that?……in Evansville who is giving Trump money he doesn’t need because he is a self-funded campaign. Wait. That was a lie. Or maybe Mark Cuban was right…Trump doesn’t have any money…)

  3. Is Trump in jail yet for inciting his toothless acolytes to kill Hillary? Lock him up. Lock him up.

    This guy is a real piece. Now calling the very people that keep him alive liars. I think I’ll believe the Secret Service. They don’t generally comment on investigations, they just say they are ‘aware of’ the issue.
    ~~~
    A US Secret Service official confirms to CNN that the USSS has spoken to the Trump campaign regarding his Second Amendment comments.
    “There has been more than one conversation” on the topic, the official told CNN. But it’s unclear at what level in the campaign structure the conversations occurred.
    The campaign told the USSS that Donald Trump did not intend to incite violence, according to the official.
    “No such meeting or conversation ever happened,” Trump tweeted in response to CNN’s report. ~~~ CNN
    Probably all made up. I think the Orange Crushed calls it the Clinton News Network. Not sure what he calls his preferential seating buddy Mark Foley, the one who resigned from congress in disgrace after being outed when he sent suggestive messages to teenage boys who were innocently working as pages at the Capitol. Rump sat his close friend, predator and supporter Foley right behind him at one of his rally’s Wednesday. He’s proud to have Foley’s support.
    There he goes again, nothing you can do about it folks.
    • When Trump takes the oath of office, no doubt he’ll finally straighten up;
      Trump had been quoted saying: “I had zero borrowings from [my father’s] estate. . . . I give you my word.”
      Under oath:
      “Mr. Trump, have you ever borrowed money from your father’s estate?”
      “I think a small amount a long time ago,” Trump said. “I think it was like in the $9 million range.”
      Believe me….
      • He’s got one of the ‘great temperaments’, by his own humble admission. He has pretty much advocated violence since he started his campaign. He didn’t want to participate in any of that violence in Vietnam though (even in a cheerleading capacity), took education deferments until they ran out then went to the old ‘foot dodge’. His cloven hooves went the final stretch to keep him out of the military. Other, better men all, died in that coward’s place.
        He sees it all coming down around his ears (and those unusual formed-no-telling-how lips). I think he was inciting his worshippers to violence against the Hildebeast in part because he has no intention of standing next to her on a debate stage where his ignorance would be laid bare. He is apparently unable to feel shame so it would seem that wouldn’t bother him all that much.
        • I notice the Trump children haven’t been out trying to clean up Dear Old Dad’s messes lately. I’d think that they are beginning to resent the way he is destroying the family name and the branding associated with it.
          If they are as smart as I think they are – IQs above average, but not MENSA material – they’re going to take steps to stop the hemorrhaging. I am very serious when I say they should make the necessary court filings to have him declared mentally incompetent and then endeavor to rebuild the “worth” of their very ordinary, cheaply made merchandise.
          Melania shouldn’t have a problem with it, because she could keep him from replacing her with a newer model, and she is bound to know that her son would be better off without his father’s influence. Tiffany should be okay with it, since he wanted Marla to abort her. The two older sons could tap into whatever money is left without dealing with the Donald. Ivanka appears to be the head of the family and she is bound to understand that her father can’t be allowed to run amok until November without serious losses. Business Insider reports that the Trump hospitality facilities’ income has dropped by 15 to 20 per cent since he came down the escalator. If the family allows him to keep doing what he is, they’ll be looking at another round of bankruptcies at the very best.
    • Emails Joe. Hillary is vulnerable on relationships based on potential conflicts of interest (called politics as usual).
      You keep bringing up military/national security issues as though Hillary is weak on this or something.
      She’s not. Not at all in fact. She would be the first to bomb, send in troops, do what the Generals say FAR before Obama…..and FAR, FAR, FAR…..before Trump (who has said he wants to withdraw US troops from around the world back to the mainland…and is “easy on Russia.”).
      The War Hawk is Hillary Clinton, Sir. The Bernie supporters are ready to LOSE it w/ this fact.
      More importantly…of the the two, Trump and Clinton….it’s not even close.
      Clinton is cautious and studied, I think that is well known…but has no problem bombing or sending Troops…..she wanted that in Syria, but someone else above her pulled rank.
      You keep promoting the wrong issue Joe. It’s emails and conflict of interest that are H’s vulnerabilities.
  4. FYI:
    Today in Florida, Donald Trump is speaking to the National Association of Homebuilders (NAHB).
    I am certain it is lost on NONE of the executives in the homebuilding industry that interest rates are LOW, LOW, LOW….and have been for some time. It is why their industry rebounded from the disastrous start of the recession.
    Low interest rates…fueled their business.
    Trump’s answer to fueling economic growth is increasing the debt by $11 trillion to fund infrastructure. And when the King of Debt does that…..the NAHB will build no new homes at 19% interest rates.
    High interest rates kill new home sales.
    • Forbes says that Donald Trump’s net worth is $4.5 Billion. Now I don’t know what your net worth is Wayne, but when it comes to seeking advice on the economy and business I would rather get mine from Mr. Trump if you don’t mind.
      • IF, and that is a big IF….that is true, it is ALL built using “debt as a tool” by the King of Debt.
        Several other real billionaires, including the head of Bloomberg Financial, have all questioned the accuracy of that old Forbes listing…..and have said clearly, it does not account for Trump’s debt.
        Look, Trump gambles. Hell…he sells his brand and develops Casino’s for God’s sake.
        He’s lost several times……BIG. (And declared bankruptcy over 4 times.)
        Maybe you like the idea of letting Trump gamble with the US budget increasing the national debt by $11 trillion…..as Trump says he’ll do using “debt as a tool” as his economic plan indicates. (I thought you were opposed to more debt anyway Press. What’s the deal with you abandoning the “no new debt” mantra?)
      • Lots of different ways to get rich, talent, hard work. Trump INHERITED his fortune. No talent of any kind required. Hell, he didn’t even have care if he got bad grades in school. His daddy set him up.
        • How do you make a million dollars? Start out with two millon dollars…
  5. Rump just gave a speech. Seemed mildly contrite, maybe the Secret Service gave him a good talking to. Talks and looks like a beaten man. Says the polls are tightening. Says ISIS is hoping for Hillary. Says he’ll repeal the ‘death tax’ to applause by an audience it does not apply to.
    He’s beat, he’s just looking for the door. Somebody should craft an exit for him that would at least let him feel he had saved face. Maybe whip up some kind of honorary presidency or something for him to sign onto. Maybe just a big shiny trophy saying he’s the best. He has managed to lower the already low bar on running for office in the US. He’ll never be president but the way he has conducted his campaign will make future campaigns that much more crass.
    • ….ugh, another repasted talking point.
      Hey PRESSANYKEY:
      Do you know how much of Trump’s debt on his balance sheets are held by Russian banking financiers?
      Is the Scotland Golf Course owned by Trump…..a Russian bank financed deal?
      • Is there a very large company in Mt. Vernon owned by Middle East investors? Is there another very large fertilizer plant scheduled to be built in Posey county by Middle East investors. Chinese investors have spent $300 Billion on American real estate. What is your point, other than you do not have a clue?
        • HERE IS YOUR CLUE:
          Well, let’s start with “they are owned” by Middle East investors.
          They are not Trump properties whose debt is held by and “financed by Russian banking oligarchs who owe allegiance to Putin”…
          ….. and they are not running for President of the United States.
          BIG difference. Dontcha think?
        • Mad about those local terrorist deals are you?? Pence did that for you ya know. But you don’t really care. It’s all about the SCOTUS for you guys. If only the Rs could stop thinking about punishing people for sex for one minute.
          I used to have respect for you PAK. You use to contribute good information to the local discourse. Now you don’t even mention the local issues at all. It’s like you’re losing it man. I seen this happen to other people and I seriously wonder what causes it. Because it’s happening on a grand scale.
      • Is Trump sending you his balance sheets nowadays, or are you just running your mouth as usual? If you can use other peoples cash to own a business is that a bad thing? You really do not have a clue do you?
        • Do you EVEN understand BANKING Press?
          Understand it AT ALL?:
          The real value of bank financing, the true value, is in the debt that it creates. You control the debt, you control everything. You didn’t know this? This is the very essence of the banking industry, to make the debtor a slave to the debt.
          • AND Pressanykey….
            THIS IS A QUOTE……you cannot deny this one:
            ““Russians make up a pretty disproportionate cross-section of a lot of our assets,” Trump’s son, Donald Trump Jr. “We see a lot of money pouring in from Russia.”
          • I-E:
            Well…that’s very enlightening. Thank you.
            I’m conversing with one of the crazies…who expresses consent for well-documented dangerous Putin/Russian connections to Trump.
            You’ve lost it. Why not just change your name to “Westboro Baptist”?
            Repeating HALF SENSE PENCE above:
            “I used to have respect for you PAK. You use to contribute good information. It’s like you’re losing it man.”
      • It’s hard to ignore comments from someone I once had once respected the way I did PAK, but he has forever ensconced himself in the same category as poor old Bidet. How sad.
  6. You know, it’s really bad form to post things you made up in quotation marks and falsely attribute your idiocy to somebody else. It can get you sued, in fact.
    A screen name really doesn’t keep you safe to do idiotic things, either. It’s really stupid to believe you can maintain anonymity in a city the size of Evansville, too. Been to the Fares Ave. Pawn shop lately, “PAK” ?
  7. I left town for a few days and now I see that all hell broke loose while I was away. I had heard that the VIP’s owners, George Lumley and Pastor Steve Ary, parted ways over some personal disagreements. Pastor Ary kept the VIP and Lumley started the Journal and Examiner.
    For reasons I will never understand a pal of mine wanted a subscription to the Journal Examiner. He went to 30 W. Florida St where the office was supposed to be and found nothing but a lot with a dilapidated garage with a free-standing mailbox in the questionable neighborhood. It looked like something you could buy at a tax sale for $100. Does anybody out there have any idea what’s up with that?
  8. END OF THURSDAY THOUGHT:
    I think I am beginning to accept why Pressanykey and Indiana Enoch seem like crazy men….and are totally losing all of their character, values and integrity……but more importantly, why they seem like two totally different people from the normally rational CCO contributors they usually are.
    They’re scared. Trump is losing this thing. And he might be doing it on purpose.
    Press and I-E thought they had the election in the bag, and Trump is imploding. It is becoming clear Trump is incredibly unstable…..and normal, common-sense Americans – even staunch conservatives….realize Trump is NO WAY getting their vote, cause…well, he’s a dangerous fool. Trump MUST have more votes…and he’s not gonna get them.
    And so…..Press and I-E are scared, desperate and lashing out like people about to realize they’ve lost.
    I mean, these guys, while they might normally simply disagree with others here, they at least do it from a logic-based or value-based manner. But they both seem like crazy Westboro Baptist Church Members at this point. (The people who say US Soldiers die because God hates gays in America.) Logic doesn’t apply to WBC people…they are….I’m not sure what they are, but crazy, for sure….but that’s it. It’s why Press and I-E are not recognizable to so many other CCO contributors here.
    • Wayne, I will let you in on a big secret: no one gives a rat’s ass what you think. All of your predictions have been wrong. Why should anyone listen to you? I told you all along he was going to be the Republican candidate, and I was right. You lack gravitas my friend. You have been relegated to your impotent personal attacks on posters. Basically you are a non factor when it comes to any meaningful discussions.
      • Thou protest too much Press. And too loudly.
        (Predictions? What? You are trying to distract from the conversation…cause I see you distract a second time and want to call me Wayne Parke too.)
        Look……I know desperate, crouching teeth gritting stuff when I read it…..and Mister, you’ve got that written all over you. Larry Sabato….a conservative pollster…..is now saying its so bad, Trump will be lucky to get 190 electoral votes (Which puts Hillary at 372.) She needs 270.
        Look….it IS bad for Trump.
        • PAK: Becker is not Wayne Parke, but since you’re convinced he is it appears that you have no compunction about exposing poster’s real names. Maybe we should start addressing you by YOUR real name, or do you find that objectionable?
          • Fine Christian that you are, you should probably prepare yourself for some being done unto as you have done unto others.
      • And who do you think gives a rats ass about what YOU think? You seem to like to launch personal attacks on posters. Have you forgotten the one you launched on me that was bad enough it was removed here just a few hours ago?
  9. When they question Trump’s mental health, they claim they are doing it for the good of the country.
    When we point to Hillary’s obvious health problems, they claim it is unfair attack by Trump.
    Kindergarten tactics.
  10. I thought we settled the fact that FDR was proof that someone with a physical impairment can be a truly great president. That is not true of mental impairments, though. Apples and oranges again, PAK.
    Your silly picture from Drudge doesn’t prove anything about the state of her health, though.
    • Oh, hey…….He’s desperate for things to talk about with Trump falling more and more every day. That’s the origin of all of this ignorant crap health thing. Desperation.
      • It’s good to see that the true republican has found a pal in the residential liberal.
        • I am gonna FRAME this comment from you Indiana Enoch…..because IT DESCRIBES YOU and your voting for Donald Trump, Donald Trump!……who the whole damn world knows is a NYC liberal:
          “It’s good to see that the true republican has found a pal in the residential liberal.”
          (Indiana Enoch)
      • Quit crying, I doubt that her health will even allow her to make it until November. She seems to be having more “episodes” as time goes on. Plus, she is just one investigation away from disaster every day.
        • Bagdad Bob/Pressanykey…..please keep posting ignorant crap.
          You are in a fit of wild, flailing antics cause you’re guy is getting the crap beat out of him.
  11. The only presidential election that I can recall missing on my prediction was Dubya v Kerry.
    Politico is reporting that there is going to be an emergency meeting with the Trump campaign tomorrow in which he will be offered an exit strategy. Otherwise, the RNC will devote all of its funding to down-ballot candidates.
