“READERS FORUM” MAY 1 2018

29

We hope that today’s “Readers Forum” will provoke honest and open dialogue concerning issues that we, as responsible citizens of this community, need to address in a rational and responsible way?

HERE IS WHATS ON OUR MIND TODAY?

In the private sector when a person is accused of illegally taking funds from an existing business to pay personal debts, your arrested for misappropriation of funds.

In Evansville when a person is working at a non-profit business and is accused of illegally taking funds from an existing non-profit business to pay personal debts you’re let go and the former employer wishes you well.

WHATS ON YOUR MIND TODAY?

Todays “Readers Poll” question is: Do you feel without GOP Chairman Wayne Parkes support that County Commission Candidates Steve Hammer will lose his primary race?

Please take time and read our articles entitled “STATEHOUSE Files, CHANNEL 44 NEWS, LAW ENFORCEMENT, READERS POLL, BIRTHDAYS, HOT JOBS” and “LOCAL SPORTS”.  You now are able to subscribe to get the CCO daily.

  1. The CCO rails against corruption today, demanding accountability that is sorely lacking. It writes:
“In the private sector when a person is accused of illegally taking funds from an existing business to pay personal debts, you’re arrested for misappropriation of funds.”

And the CCO feels these people should be arrested, instead of, as it says, “you’re let go and the former employer wishes you well.”

Truth? They learned this kind of thieving, corruption and abuse of funds from the Trump Administration! It is commonplace THERE, not just in Evansville.

Oh? You disagree? Here they are:
    1. Veterans Affairs Secretary David Shulkin, vacations on taxpayer-paid travel to two conferences in Europe
    2. Housing and Urban Development Secretary Ben Carson, ordering custom-made chairs, dining table and hutch for his office. They cost $31,000
    3. Tom Price, Department of Health and Human Services, he took personal charter flights costing nearly $500,000
    4. Interior Secretary Ryan Zinke used helicopters to avoid Washington’s traffic to go horseback riding with VP Pence.
    5. Scott Pruitt, Environmental Protection Agency, only willing to fly first class
    6. Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin using military plane for his European honeymoon trips
    7. Donald Trump, who spends HALF of his time – right – HALF, not in the White House doing his job, but staying in Palm Beach charging the US taxpayer for “the use of Trump Enterprises facilities for me and all of my staff.”

Guess you find that Evansville corruption “business as usual” if you agree its ok for the Trump Administration to do it. Will they be arrested? No.

    • Your too funny, our politicians have been dirty since the 80’s ,I think your just upset because your goddess clinton got defeated by her own rigged election,,,I agree President Trump isn’t perfect yet he is doing what he can with no help from either party ,,,if ya not happy in this country I suggest moving to Mexico or Central America

      • At least Eviltaxpayer tells the truth and agrees Trump is abusing the American taxpayer.
Protests that Trump is being unfairly treated by people who think that is bullsh-t?
Get used to it. You agree he’s doing it. It is lawful, accurate and needed.
        Support your law enforcement, folks.

  2. Tell me it ain’t so;

The president in recent weeks has doubled down on his criticism of Amazon, sending shares of the company’s stock tumbling as much as 5 percent in one day. “I have stated my concerns with Amazon long before the Election,” Trump tweeted on March 29. “Unlike others, they pay little or no taxes to state & local governments.”

TrumpStore.com is the Trump Organization’s online store and only collects sales tax from Florida, Virginia and Louisiana – https://www.trumpstore.com/pages/shipping-returns

You know what they say; https://mail.tds.net/service/home/~/?auth=co&loc=en&id=182055&part=1

    ….

  3. The Evansville Police would shoot a kindergartner with a toy handgun, and then give the scum who did it an award.

    It’s the truth

  4. …..ore wear a Batman mask at the Fall Festival while they stand on the top of buildings to make it easier to shoot the little kiddies if they have anything resembling a firearm.

They would do it, and the local newspaper would only allow a sympathetic article towards the Police department, and all of this would be done with the support ot the Mayor.

The sick society of Evansville, IN.

Smiling ‘officer friendlies’, coffee with a cop, etc,, hides a much darker, more twisted side.

  5. 2 Replica Shootings in 2 Months ?

Evansville Police recently released a deliberately blurred out video of Michael Anthony Foster being shot by Office Kenny Doucheske as if that is supposed to fulfill the public’s right to know, and it is further obvious that Deuchebag holds his assault rifle in front of the camera until the shooting is over, then states ‘camera’s on ?’ and finally moves the rifle when the picture is allowed to come into focus…..on nothing significant.

With 2 shootings of two individuals allegedly pointing ‘replica firearms’ at police officer’s in only 2 months, shown too vaguely in blurry and/or broken videos, in a community only the size of Evansville, it should be obvious to any intelligent person that the EPD is now circumventing the court system with a Judge Dredd kind of justice(i.e., ‘Pull over and prepare to be judged’) that I am not sure the majority of Evansville citizens would support. Perhaps the jail overcrowding problem, along with certain budgetary issues are also having an effect on this kind of policing ?

But who cares ? The mayor obviously supports this, and the old cronies that run the City-County Observer website almost certainly do. I mean, if you call everyone who steals food from a grocery store a scumbag, you’ve lost all concern about why a crime is committed, and became something less than human, IMHO.

However, let me say that I am not at all certain that the people shot did not do some things wrong in their lives to deserve punishment, but I would rather have a court decide this kind of matter, even if courts lately are sentencing school children to prison for 5 years for making a foolish, stupid joke to shoot up the school, or punishing a kindergartener for bringing a BB gun to school, with a power to keep the specific punishment out of the newspapers.

These kinds of things make Evansville and surrounding vicinity a shitty place to live. All the debate about Ford Center, penguin exhibits, super dooper fantabulous medical school, etc. pale in comparison to a town so dead in human spirit, with a news media, so intimidated that they will not even challenge the Police Media officer when he is obviously lying about such incidents is further indication of a town dead from a lack of respect for its citizen’s, as well as for a lack of humanity and democracy. Not to mention people who are harassed on their jobs or at school because they speak out against such things.

Do not think that such absolute power does not result in horrible injustices, the cries of which are too often never be heard in a town like Evansville, IN. The swagger, unbridled power, and arrogance of local government and law enforcement as they spit in the face of a constitutional oath, the spirit of which they are supposed to willfully keep the people truthfully informed of such matters corrupts them in such a way that they lose site of the fact that they are supposed to be public servants, instead of rulers over those they are supposed to serve.
The EPD would shoot a kindergardner with a toy gun and give the scum that did it an award for doing so. The local newspaper would only be allowed to write an article sympathetic towards the police. All of this with the covert support of the Mayor.

The twisted society of Evansville, IN.

    It’s the truth.

…or have the snipers that stand on top of the buildings at the Fall Festival wear a Batman mask to make it easier to shoot the little kiddies if they have a toy gun.

‘Officer Friendly’, coffee with a cop, etc., hide a twisted, dark side.

  6. – Breitbart’s Editor Closes His Business, Lays Off All Staff, Out of Money, No Audience –
    April 27, 2018
“Running out of money and down on his luck, right-wing Breitbart Editor Milo Yiannopoulos laid off all of the staff of Milo Entertainment Inc. earlier this month.
The company has fallen on hard times ever since his former patrons, Robert and Rebekah Mercer, severed their financial backing last year. Yiannopoulos had been expecting to instead receive significant financial backing from the banking heir billionaire Matthew Mellon. But those hopes were dashed when the Breitbart New Site’s Editor’s backer died of drug overdose on April 16.”

No one reads Breitbart anymore, but some people do continue to log on and look at the pictures. They can’t read and don’t have teeth, but they love the Breitbart web site.

    • The possibility of Trump winning the Nobel Peace Prize will drive the liberal snowflakes nuts:
      ……………………………………
“In one interview, Uk Yang, a senior research fellow at the Korean Defence and Security Forum and an advisor to the Ministry of National Defence, said Trump’s rhetoric was a welcome change to that of Barack Obama’s policy of “strategic patience”.

According to Yang, Obama had simply maintained sanctions in order to keep North Korea’s economy ruinous so he could pass the problem on, unchanged, to his successor…..

In the new year tensions rapidly eased, to the point that in January talks between north and south were held for the first time in two years. South Korea’s president, Moon Jae-in, was quick to praise his key ally, telling reporters at the time, “I think President Trump deserves big credit for bringing about the inter-Korean talks. It could be a resulting work of the US-led sanctions and pressure.”…

Expressing her surprise at the speed of diplomatic events South Korea’s foreign minister, Kang Kyung-wha, told CNN this weekend, “I feel like someone stepped on the accelerator at the beginning of the year and it has been non-stop since then. Clearly credit goes to President Trump. He has been determined to come to grips with this from day one.”…

Lindsey Graham, one of the few prominent Republicans to offer (occasional and tepid) criticism of Trump’s “America First” foreign policy has also offered praise, saying “What happened? Donald Trump convinced North Korea and China he was serious about bringing about change. We’re not there yet, but if this happens, President Trump deserves the Nobel Peace Prize.”

    • Breitbart? That’s that site with all the pictures for people who can’t read, right? LOL!

      • No. That’s the UK library. But both of the books located there are, already colored in.

    • I agree. He does. However, the bar was lowered considerably when Barry was awarded one for giving flowery speeches.

      • Didn’t Barry lower the bar for everything? Would loved to have seen Trump run against Barry. Mitt and John were to meek to call him out. John should have known from experience that you can’t play nice with a communist.

  7. Wow, our city is full of nuckin futs. This is my last time on this site. After reading these posts, it is apparent why the U.S.A. is going to pot. Good riddance to this and the rest of the so called “news”. Any site that would allow the vitoral crap that is posted, needs a reset.

    • The First Amendment isn’t the First for no reason, it is the most important one.

That’s why your comment is just as nutty and just as important as the ones above.

      Good riddance?

      You betcha….

  8. The self-funding businessman emerged seemingly out of nowhere last fall and is now on the brink of dispatching Rokita and Messer by portraying them as a pair of interchangable D.C. swamp creatures. Powering Braun’s effort is nearly $6 million of his own money that he’s either loaned or given to his campaign to capture the nomination to face Sen. Joe Donnelly in the fall.

If Braun prevails next week — he is seen as the nominal favorite and has vastly outspent his opponents — it would stand as one of the first real surprises in a Republican primary this election cycle. It would also serve as a blunt demonstration of how anti-Washington, anti-incumbent sentiment could shape the outcome of the November election.

“There’s not a lot of daylight between any of them on the issues,” GOP pollster Christine Matthews, who served as a strategist for former Indiana Gov. Mitch Daniels, said of the three candidates. “What Braun has been able to do is say, ‘The difference with me is I’m not a professional politician.’”
