When the City County Observer publishes the Mole Nation and Mole #3’s predictions for the upcoming elections there will be another contestant in the contest to see who is the best picker. In addition to the choices of the Moles there will be “The Infinity Mole” that will be a summary of the vote compilations from our online polls starting with the poll currently up for at large City Council.
Throughout the day today we will be rotating polls and accumulating votes. Polls will not be removed or reported without at least 101 votes are cast. Why 101, because it is an odd number and you have to draw the line somewhere. Enjoy the polls and lets see if 101 minds are really better than 1.
Ok…here are my predictions:
Mayor: Too close to call. I think it gets decided by under 500 votes. There is a lot of confidence in the Winnecke camp, so I’m assuming their polling has them up. That said, Evansville is notoriously difficult to poll, and Democrats almost always underpoll. This year, with the party leadership openly supporting Winnecke, many Dem voters are not going to feel comfortable revealing their preferences to pollsters. Bottom line: Winnecke needs to be up by ~7 pts. or more, or he could be in for a very long night on Tuesday.
1st: McGinn
2nd: Mosby (in a squeaker)
3rd: Brinkeroff-Riley (though Leibundguth will make it a contest)
4th: Robinson
5th: Grafton
6th: Lindsey
At Large
Adams
Swaim
Kramer (though O’Daniel could eke it out)
