I am pleased that Governor Pence has decided to support giving local authorities control over the Midwest Fertilizer Company plant project. Building a $1.8 billion state-of-the-art plant in Posey County will lead to more jobs and a stronger economic core for our community. I am excited not only for this project, but also for the supplemental growth opportunities in other sectors of our economy made available as a result.
Several weeks ago, I wrote a letter to Governor Pence encouraging him to support this project, and those efforts have come to fruition. This is an incredible opportunity for our district, and I hope to see it continue to move forward.
