Perry Township Man Arrested on Child Molestation Charges

The Vanderburgh County Sheriff’s Office has arrested a Perry Township resident on multiple counts of Child Molesting. 56 year-old Mark Allan Farmer was arrested and charged with four counts of Child Molesting as Level 3 Felonies following an investigation by Sheriff’s Office detectives.

The investigation began on February 8th following a disclosure by the five year-old victim to the child’s mother. A forensic interview was conducted at Holly’s House in which the child detailed multiple instances of sexual abuse by Farmer that had occurred over a period of time at his residence. On February 9th, Farmer was interviewed at the Sheriff’s Office Command Post by detectives. During the interview, Farmer admitted to four instances of sexual abuse involving the victim.

Farmer was arrested and taken to the Vanderburgh County Jail where he is to be held without bond pending a court appearance.
